Introducing my latest felt softie creation made during Christmas break: Sharkie – the mostly friendly shark. I designed and sketched the shark pattern and then put it together!
My first Munny toy art project, turning a cute blue Munny into a fear inducing Siberian Cave Munny.

This project involves modifying a basic toy character – OUIP by Delitoys to create a character never before imagined. Here is the character:
Here is my design. A punk rockabilly zombie:
Now comes the final creation, covered in permanent markers and a soft clay that drys hard(hair do):
This was my first attempt at creating a soft toy, and I’m incredibly happy with the results. I started by sketching my designs on graph paper, and it quickly became apparent this guy wasn’t going to be easy to make, as I wanted quite a 3d shape to him.
I actually made a small prototype out of paper just to make sure all the folds connected in the right place. It is put together out of four main bits of felt and a lot of hand stitching(I probably spent twenty hours on him!) then adding the extra details like buttons and facial features.
This project is a recycle/refashion craft project, that began with three Russian dolls much like you would expect them to be: folksy and traditional. Unfortunately over the years the paint on my Russian dolls had cracked and peeled, so I decided I would re paint them, and what better opportunity to create Russian Robot dolls! Enjoy!
